Hip-py New Year!

hip

This image of a bulbous hip was taken whilst out walking during the festive holiday. The low winter sunlight was shining from the side which has accentuated the form and colours. I use a wide aperture setting for a shallow depth of field which has blurred the background and made the main subject appear sharper.

  1. Isn’t that the glossiest hip! I love wide aperature shots (in case you hadn’t guessed that), and I’m curious what lens you’re using, if don’t mind saying. Only curiosity, as I am trying to convince myself that I don’t need any new lenses this year… 😉

    1. it was taken with a 50 mm lens which is usually my lens of choice as it is so versatile. I would love to build up my collection of lenses one day ….
