Sometimes the most memorable places are those that we stumble upon almost by chance and so it was how the enchanting Budle Bay, part of the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve in Northumberland, was discovered.

    1. thank you, Catherine. We were aiming for Bamburgh but it was so busy we couldn’t park and so drove on and found this bay. We managed to park at Bamburgh on the way back!
