walking in the footsteps of John Constable in the pretty hamlet of Flatford in the Stour Valley it is easy to see why he loved to paint this scenery. We have visited before and walked the Flatford and Constable Country walking trail many times, however on this occasion we had been invited to the Private Viewing in the Boat House Gallery of the wonderful Portraits of British Trees exhibition by Emma Buckmaster and Janet French; etchings of British trees printed onto paper made from that tree’s own leaves.
